DIRECTIONS TO THE VENUE FOR THE SOURCE PROJECT

Please note, there is no railway station in Ripon, but there is a regular bus service from Harrogate Station to Ripon. You can travel to Ripon Bus Station by bus or coach from Leeds or Harrogate with Transdev Bus 36, leaving every 20 minutes from Leeds and from Harrogate Bus Station.
From Ripon you can travel to Grewelthorpe on service 138 operated by Harrogate District Community Transport from stand 3 at the Bus Station. Dales and District bus 159 travels from Ripon to the Market Place in Masham (about 4 - 5 miles from the venue).

By car from South of Ripon A1
Note: if you are coming from the South via Harrogate on the A61, turn left at the A61 junction with the B6265 and then follow the directions below from step 3.
1. From A1, travelling North leave the A1(M) at Junction 48 (or 47 if diversion in place) and take the A168 heading North and then the B6265 direction Ripon/Pateley Bridge.
2. When the B6265 meets the A61 Ripon ring road, go straight ahead at the roundabout, crossing the A61.
3. On the small road you join there will be a canal on your left. Continue, going over a bridge and go straight ahead at the roundabout (Water Skellgate),
4. Take the 3rd road on the right, uphill into a 20 zone, and turn left at the top (Westgate).
5. Turn right at the Give Way sign, then take the 1st exit at the mini-roundabout (Blossomgate) and take this road straight out of Ripon. You will pass a sign to the cemetery and an army barracks. Please take care on this road it turns to single track in some places and can be muddy in rain. Head for the villages of Sutton Grange, Azerley and then Grewelthorpe/Masham.
6. When you reach Grewelthorpe you will pass the village duck pond on the left (note the duck warning sign!).
7. At the junction with the 20 zone and school sign, turn left up hill and follow road to T-junction.
8. Turn right towards The Hutts and keep following signs to The Hutts. Then take fork down farm road signed The Hutts.
9. Drive past Quarry House on right. For events other than Intensives, car parking will be in a field on the right (where the camp was held). This is the first field with wide tarmac entrance. Put on wellies! Drive into the field, turn left and park nearish the hedge that borders the road this area of the field has been reinforced underfoot to support the ground and make it easier for vehicles to park and drive away again.
10. Call Shabdan or Shastra on their mobile to let them know you have arrived. 07786 692822 or 07900 046024. The Source Project Marquee is located next to the barns, approximately three fields away. Walk to the far left hand corner of the field (with your back to the road) and go through the gate to the next field (with the roundhouse in it) then keep walking in the same direction across that field and the next (with the windmill) until you see the white marquee. If you cannot walk this distance please contact us in advance to make arrangements to be collected from the car park.
11. Please do not knock on the door to Lime Tree Farm at any time it is privately let. If you want to write to us on site, please ask for the correct contact address.
From the North side of Ripon on the A61
1. From the A61 take the A6108 signed to Masham (turn right and left to go over the bridge) and continue past the clock tower on the right (North Street). See Spar supermarket on te left and the White Horse (pub) on the right, then turn right at the lights onto Coltsgate Hill.
2. Follow the road round, passing Booths supermarket on the left, then at the mini-roundabout turn right onto Blossomgate, and take this road straight out of Ripon. Then refer to the instructions from step 5 onwards for coming from South of Ripon.
From North of Ripon on A1
1. A few miles after Catterick on the A1 travelling from the north, take the exit to the A684 and then turn left towards Masham (on Bedale Road). Pass through the village of Aiskew, crossing railway tracks twice, and into Bedale.
2. Cross the bridge at Bridge Street and turn left signposted Masham.
3. At next junction continue straight ahead (technically a left and then an immediate right, but really a wobbly straight-ahead) onto B6268. Continue on this road heading towards Masham for about 5 miles, passing Mowbray School on left.
4. Keep following signs to Masham, turning left onto the B6267 and then right onto the A6108.
5. From the A 6108 turn left at junction towards Masham across bridge.
6. At next fork, turn left to Market Place/L'Ansons Mill. Go through Masham village, following the road, and signs to Kirkby Malzeard/Grewelthorpe. Continue. Go over humpback bridge. Road continues 2 3 miles including moorland and then enters Grewelthorpe.
7. Either take first fork to right and then 2nd right onto Hutts Lane (signs to The Hutts)
or if you miss this, go into village and turn right at junction with 20 zone sign beside Crown Inn, heading towards primary school and at next T junction turn right towards The Hutts, then take take next left onto Hutts Lane.
8. The take right fork up farm road towards The Hutts.
