By train
You can find train timetable information at www.nationalrail.co.uk. There is a taxi rank outside the main entrance of the rail station. According ot the university the taxi fare to Bodington Hall should be about £7.
By Bus The number 95 bus will take you from the city centre straight to Bodington Hall. The service runs every 10 mins from Infirmary Street on City Square close to the railway station/ The bus will stop at the top of the driveway.
Other buses that stop close to the campus but take less direct routes are the 1, 92, 93, 93c, 96, 96c, 655, 731, 755, 780 (all First Leeds services).
Venue: OLD POOL BANK VILLAGE HALL, Quarry Farm Road, off Old Pool Bank, Pool-in Wharfedale, LS21 3BT, off the A658 near the junction with the A660 (near Leeds-Bradford Airport), on the outskirts of Leeds. Please note there are two village halls in Pool - this one is Old Pool Bank Village Hall.
Travel to the venue by car: Quarry Farm Road is off the portion of Old Pool Bank that runs between the A658 and the A660. From the A660 beyond Bramhope, going out of Leeds towards Otley, turn left onto the A658 (towards the airport), then first right onto Old Pool Bank (a narrow country lane) and then - some distance along the road - first left onto Quarry Farm Road. Once on Quarry Farm Road look for the village hall on the right hand side after the bungalows - the building is set back from the road with parking area in front, at the rear and in an overflow car park at the far end of Quarry Road, in the barnyard to the left. Please do not park on Quarry Farm Road itself.
If you are coming from Skipton/Otley on the A660, you turn right onto the A658 towards the airport then follow the directions above. Please note that although you can turn directly onto Old Pool Bank from the A660 it is known locally as a dangerous turning for vehicles and we recommend the route described above.
Or taking the A658 from Leeds beyond the ring road, cross the junctions with Otley Old Road and then Old Lane, and then take the next left fork onto the small road that is Old Pool Bank. Quarry Farm Road is the first left hand turn, some distance along the road. Look for the village hall on the right, set back from the road after the bungalows. Please do not park on Quarry Farm Road itself.
If you are coming to the workshop by bus, please check the current bus timetables before travelling to ensure that you have correct information and can get home again.
Travel to the venue by bus: Please check local timetables for up-to-date information before travelling. The Otley/Ilkley Bus from Leeds (X 84) leaves Leeds City bus station (stand 22), goes along the A660 and passes near to the venue (ask for the stop called Leeds Road at Quarry Road). Walk back in the direction the bus came, along the pavement, for about 150 yards until you come to the right-hand turning up the hill into Old Pool Bank, which is a country lane (if you reach the crossroads with the A658 you have gone too far). As indicated, the road goes up a hill. Then take the first right into Quarry Farm Road, and look for the village hall after the bungalows on the right. The building itself is set back from the road a little, with parking space in front. The walk should take maximum 7 - 8 minutes.
